Terry Fox Week 2020 “One Day. Your Way”

Please join us next Wednesday, September 23rd for our annual Terry Fox Walk.

What: Terry Fox Walk for Cancer

Who: Heritage Heights Students, Staff and 1 Parent/Child (due to Covid)

When: Wednesday, September 23 (Afternoon only)

In order to promote a socially distant and safe Terry Fox experience, we will be staggering start times and providing alternate routes for grade groups this year. Start times are organized by lunch recess groups/cohorts and are further separated by age (see table below).

Where: Heritage Heights School playground and Norris Coulee through our community including, Norris Coulee Loop, Shannon Loop, Shannon Hill and 48th St adjacent to Heritage Heights Property.

Why: More than 9,000 schools across Canada take to the neighbourhood every September to bring Terry Fox’s mission to life. With the inspiration of Terry Fox, let’s raise funds and show our support to cancer research.

TOONIES FOR TERRY!

Our junior high Leadership group has been making announcements all week and gathering classroom resources to support our understanding of this Canadian icon and the Terry Fox Foundation. Please send in your “Toonies for Terry” next week! All funds collected will go to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. A total will be shared Wednesday morning so we all know the impact we have!
